I'm Arpit Raizada — a Consumer Experience and Retail Design explorer.
With experience in designing spaces, systems, and experiences for some of India's leading brands.
My work sits at the intersection of strategy, design and human behaviour. Over the years I've worked across fashion, lifestyle, consumer electronics and retail, helping brands translate ideas into meaningful physical experiences—from flagship stores and exhibitions to visual merchandising systems, planograms and customer journeys.
Today I lead Consumer Experience & Visual Merchandising at Blackberrys while building Studio AZ, an independent design practice focused on retail, brand environments and experience design.
I believe that good design should do more than look beautiful.
It should solve problems, influence behaviour, and create experiences people remember.

My Story
I didn't begin my career chasing visual merchandising.
I was fascinated by something much simpler.
Why do certain spaces make us feel welcome while others don't?
Why do we instinctively walk towards one display and ignore another?
How can a physical environment influence emotion without saying a single word?
Those questions became the foundation of my career.
Over the last eighteen years I've worked with brands across fashion, lifestyle, consumer electronics and retail—creating stores, campaigns, exhibitions, fixtures and customer experiences that balance creativity with commercial performance.
Working both within brands and at a global creative agency gave me two perspectives. One taught me how businesses think. The other taught me how ideas are built. Bringing those worlds together has shaped the way I approach every project today.
Alongside my professional journey, I've always enjoyed sharing knowledge—through guest lectures, industry conferences and conversations with young designers. Teaching has continually reminded me that design is not simply about aesthetics; it's about solving problems with empathy, clarity and intent.
Studio AZ is a natural extension of that belief.

Beyond Design
When I'm away from work, I'm usually exploring something that fuels my curiosity.
You'll often find me travelling through new cities, discovering local cafés, sketching ideas, reading graphic novels, hiking mountain trails, riding my motorcycle or simply observing how people interact with spaces.
I'm equally fascinated by architecture, product design and the night sky, where astronomy reminds me to keep looking beyond the obvious.
Every journey, conversation and observation eventually finds its way back into my work.
